Eagles mate for life

May 2006

“A perfect fit after 33 years – and a perfect place (again) to celebrate. We hear that eagles mate for life. We intend to keep setting them a good example. Thanks for sharing your “just right” home with us.”

Memorable 29th anniversary

Dec 2005

“Thanks for letting us have a memorable 29th anniversary here at your island home! We arrived to snow and enjoyed cozy fires, good food and very nice quiet surroundings—much enjoyed after a hectic summer and fall. Saw the huge eagle as well as a coyote. Thanks again for a wonderful time.”

Our first visit to the Pacific Northwest

Oct 2005

“We have come here in the off-season to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. This is our first visit to the Pacific Northwest, and we spent a touristy day in Seattle, a great day in Vancouver, a shopping day in Fairhaven and a very rainy and windy day resting here.

We have enjoyed cooking romantic dinners in your wonderful kitchen, spending evenings on your comfy couch and watching the deer and cows come to eat your apples! Your home truly does have a magical touch to it, and we are so glad we chose to stay here instead of a hotel. Thank you so much for inviting us in to your lovely home and offering a tranquil place to rest. “

Beginning to our honeymoon

Oct 2005

“The time has past so fast and for our beginning to our honeymoon, it could not have begun in a more beautiful place. We have thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of Lummi Island and hope to return. The eagle in the tree and the serenity of peace is an escape from our frenetic lives in NJ.”

Scrabble games and bald eagles

Aug 2005

"What does one say when standing on eh beach confronted by islands and endless ocean? I am overwhelmed to answer but can say that I found solace in your home away from having to solve the meaning of life. The scrabble games and bald eagles worked out well, too."

Apples in a pie

Aug 2005

“Thank you for letting us stay in this beautiful house in such a beautiful setting. We were able to see the “house” eagle and many forms of wild life. The blackberries were great and the apples in a pie. We went biking, beach walking, and kayaking. All of us had a great visit. Weather was ideal.”
